NAPNES' Board of Directors selected "LP/VN-Gateway
to the Future" for the theme for our
64th national convention in celebration and recognition
of a variety of factors.
Of course the theme celebrates the city hosting
our event. Famed for it's archway, St.
Louis is known as the gateway to the west.
In 2007, at the Adam's
Mark Hotel, in the shadow of the St. Louis
Arch, the archway will represent the gateway to
the future of Licensed Practical and Vocational
Nursing and Education. This convention will
prove to be one of the most important national
conventions for LP/VN practice and education in
many years.
During the 2007 annual convention, the membership
of NAPNES will be presented with critically important
issues for the future of Licensed Practical /
Vocational Nursing and P/VN Education. The
proposals planned include:
- Unveiling of new National Education Standards
- Unveiling of new National Curriculum Standards
- Re-organization of membership requirement
These proposals will shape P/VN education and
practice for many years to come. Likewise,
the bylaws changes that will be required for the
re-organization of membership will shape the future
of NAPNES for decades. Your attendance and
participation at this convention is important
to your future and the future of practical and
vocational nursing. For complete details
