The NCSBN Board of Directors Voted to Raise the Passing Standard for the NCLEX-PN Examination

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. (NCSBN) voted at its December 2007, meeting to raise the passing standard for the NCLEX-PN examination. The new standard will take effect on April 1, 2008, in conjunction with the 2008 NCLEX-PN Test Plan. Click here for complete press release.
WOCNCB Considers Wound / Ostomy / Continence Certification For LP/VNs and RNs with AD or Diplomas

The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Certification Board (WOCNCB) is conducting a job analysis survey as the consider this Certification. If you're an LP/VN, AD or Diploma RN and are interested in participating, please contact the WOCNCB before January 15th, 2008. School Membership Program Expanded
Due to the overwhelmingly positive response from school
participating in our student membership program, NAPNES
will expand the service. This program requires
that all students and faculty in Practical and Vocational
Nursing Schools join NAPNES. The school is given
a free agency membership and all student may take the
NAPNES Pharmacology Certification Exam after graduating
and the normal $100 registration fee is waived for their
